….and I can assure you that these Intruders are more than welcome to stay…! Stockholm based Intruders just got their first 45 on Sleazy records out and I’ll be spinning my very own Dj copy no 7 (out of 25) by these East Coast Rockers until my pickups fall off… Instrumental madness!
Don’t miss out my next gig at Häng Bar in Malmö on February 8, it’s gonna be wild with two great bands and lots of hot vinyl 45’s!
A night of real gone rockin’ boogie blues and wild rock’n’roll with Five Finger Discount, a two piece Trash-Blues-Boogie band from Vetlanda, and Leadfoot Tea, a one man blues trash rock’n’roll band, from Malmö. Just like me, Leadfoot Tea (aka Lee Tea), loves the wilder, trashier side of the 50’s and early 60’s rock’n’roll.
Wishing you all a boppin’ and rockin’ New Year with lots of twang and sleazy tunes! Let’s hop into 2014 with a little help from the fabulous Excels…
If you’re not satisfied with that and just loooong and beg for more…there’s a new updated playlist waitin’ for ya…dig into the Gravest Hits #4 and have yourself a great little party.
And don’t miss out the updated Gigs page, with a few great festivals booked already for 2014. See ya around, folks!
Some real heavy monkey business took place in Denmarks hottest vinyl club last Friday…don’t miss out next time Dusty Wax (to the left) and Boppin’ Sören (not to the right, that’s me…) invites you to join their vicious vinyl vaults at the Monkey club , deep in the heart of Aarhus.
Doing a very special set in Aarhus Denmark tomorrow night. Honoured guest dj at the 10th anniversary of Filmbyen – a cool place where they make movies in Denmark. This burlesque, over-the-top party/show is produced by my very own son and his slightly mad companions at the famous (or infamous perhaps?) Kaospilot programme. I hear rumors that there will be excesses of all kinds and golden decadence….
Being in Aarhus, I will not miss the splendid opportunity to drop in and say hello to my friends the danish vinyl gurus in the Monkey Club and maybe spin some tunes at their wicked Rockers vs Mods night.
This one is to start you up guys… Neil Sedaka – believe it or not!
Or..should I say, when in Rome, just do like the Romans do and you will have a hell of a good time! I am going back to the eternal city in the end of October for a gig at the first Party Tiger Reunion, hosted by Kick’em Jenny.
Cool bands (don’t miss mythical Swedish band Hi-Winders!) and wilder than the wildest Canadian…Bloodshot Bill.
Got the honour of playing the first day of the yearly festival in my hometown Malmö, a free seven-day party in the streets of this city of crime, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a huge white twisted cock that people live in….
Anyway, on stage I got some real nice company from dancers from Cat’s Corner…
…and models showing retro delights from Flique i Underjorden, producers of this retro event.
The best thing about vacation is when you know that your mailbox is waiting for you to get home and find some amazing tunes.
Until I get to break into the mailbox (after to smokin hot weeks in southern Italy), I’ll share with you the two gems I recently laid my hands on.
First you get the fantastic “Nancy Lynne” (oh, that hand clapping…) by Dick D’Agostin, mostly known for touring with Eddie Cochran.
And last but not least…straight from Phoenix Arizona is Rusty Isabell with his piano rock’n’roll instro attack “Firewater” (which you probably are sipping right now in the hot summer evening). Cheers!
